Philosophy of Care
Meadow View Nursing Home aims to provide its service users with a secure, relaxed, and homely environment in which their care, well-being and comfort is of prime importance.
Our Carers will strive to preserve and maintain the dignity, individuality and privacy of all service users within a warm and caring atmosphere, and in doing so will be sensitive to the service users ever changing needs.
Such needs may be medical/therapeutic (for physical and mental welfare), cultural, psychological, spiritual, emotional and social, and service users are encouraged to participate in the development of their individualised Service Users' Plan of Care in which the involvement of the family and friends may be appropriate and greatly valued.
This will be achieved through programmes of activities designed to encourage mental alertness, self esteem, and social interaction with other service users and with recognition of the core values of care which are fundamental to the philosophy of our Home.
Our ‘MISSION STATEMENT’ is extremely important to us and underpins everything we do at Meadowview:-
Meadowview is a small family run nursing home. We are a home, away from home and are able to provide care on a more personal level to our residents. We want our residents to feel as if they are still in their home, but with more professional and quality care input using a holistic approach.
We work with relatives, other professionals and external agencies to ensure continuation and improvement in care standards.
Values:
Love and Compassion for our residents. To know their needs, and act on their needs. To ensure that our residents are cared for in a safe and caring environment at all times, with caring and compassionate staff who are supported at all times in their role.
Vision:
To be a care home that respects and honours the needs of elderly care residents during their most vulnerable time in their lives, in a quiet, scenic and homely environment.
